Christian Education comprises more than Sunday School, but that time-honored Sunday morning tradition is still the paramount means for educating persons in the Christian faith. Ravensworth offers a healthy variety of Sunday School classes for adults, youth, and children. Each of our classes offers adults the chance to explore the Bible, their faith, and the challenges of daily living in an environment of honest inquiry and caring community. See the descriptions below to see which class is right for you.

Friendship
Friends united for the purposes of Bible study, spiritual development and social enhancement, this class of women welcomes all. They are very active in mission action.
Teachers: Margaret Diamond and Nancy Hall 

Genesis
This is a group of young married couples and singles, ranging in age from their late twenties to forties, who gather weekly to share their faith journeys in an atmosphere of acceptance and curiosity.

Moore
This group of mixed ages and sexes rotates leadership among selected class members. Interpreting the Word of God and applying it to daily life, the members of the class value the ongoing struggle with faith and Scripture.

Philippians
Lively, biblically-based discussions, coupled with a welcoming attitude toward diverse viewpoints, are the hallmark of this adult class of mixed ages and sexes. After reading Scripture together, participants discuss the texts to examine their relationships with God and others as they seek to apply biblical truths to daily life.

Sojourners
Teachers: Brad Moffett and Susan Shaw

College/Young Adult Bible Study (Meets Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.) Ravensworth Baptist Church is located within six miles of two large college campuses--George Mason University and the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College. As an outreach to the students at those schools, RBC offers a Bible study in the home of Associate Pastor Bob Turner on Thursday evenings.
